What does Patch 36 mean and why did you change your business name?
We mainly decided to change our business name because with three kiddos in 3 years life at home is just to busy to have Andy work a full time job and shoot with me. We decided that he would help with the kiddos while I went on shoots. Patch 36 came from my love for our little patch of land in the country. We live on 2.5 acres in the country down a stone road. We love the quiet of the country, the little pond in the back, the way the sun streams through the windows in the morning and how we can watch the sunset while doing dishes. We love watching the tractors farm the fields around us and having our friends in for bonfires and swim parties. Its a simpler life on our little Patch of land (the 36 comes from our address).
What is required to book my wedding date?
We require a $300 nonrefundable retainer fee along with your contract to hold your date. This goes toward the wedding package purchase.
Do I get a disc that I can print my own photos from?
Yes! Our wedding package includes a disc of all your high-resolution, edited wedding images. The engagement session disc is only included in certain packages.
How many photos will I get?
You will get 30+ edited images for your engagement session and a minimum of 3-400 images for your wedding day.
Can we order professional prints through you?
Yes, we have a basic price list for print ordering. All of our prints are an excellent quality and are sprayed to preserve the life of the image.
Can I upload my pictures onto facebook once I get the disc?
Absolutely! We just ask that you pull the pictures from the folder labeled “web” on your disc and that you credit Patch 36 underneath your images or on the folder title.
Do you travel or do destination weddings?
We love to travel and shoot in different places. Email for a custom quote.
Do you have a second photographer? and if you do who is it?
Yes, for most of our collections I have a great second shooter that shoots with me. Her name is Vanessa, and she is my fabulously talented (purse designer/creator, mommy, & photographer on the side) sister-in-law. She also teaches the Life + Lens Workshop along side me. Check her out here.
What is required to book my photosession?
We require 50% down (nonrefundable) to book your session.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate, or if someone gets sick?
We are absolutely flexible on rescheduling for reasons of inclement weather or illness. Sometimes moody, dark, stormy images are amazing, and other times its just way to windy or stormy to risk it. Also if someone is ill, or we are ill, we will work on being as flexible as possible but with our booking schedule it might push your session further out.
What should we wear?
Really its whatever you want. Gone are the days of matching clothes though. When people ask what photographs well I always tell them layers and variety. Don’t put everybody in jeans, throw in some fun shoes, a colorful jacket, some great boots..etc. We just ask that you love what your wearing and if you can’t decide bring it with you and we can help you choose.
Do you have a studio?
No, we don’t have an indoor studio and shoot mainly on location or in your home (we love that option).
I’m a senior. How many outfits can I bring?
As many as you want. We don’t want you to throw your whole closet in the trunk, but if you want to put together 5 stellar outfits do it! We would rather you have a good variety of types of clothing (dressy/casual/comfortable) and be accessorized as much as you can.
